This video talk given at TED by Peter Eigen tells how he formed an NGO to address the problem of corruption in developing countries. He was able to provide the leadership necessary to convince a large number of international companies that bribery as a way of doing business was not in their best interest. Once enough companies came on board, these companies were able to help pave the way for laws in their countries to criminalize foreign bribery.

This is an idea that is really new to me. It never occurred to me that corporate leaders could be brought together in an open forum to discuss what is best in the long term.

Mostly I just want to share this link. I’ll need to add it to the long list of things I have to think about 🙂
