End to End Encryption

This article gives some good reasons why end-to-end encryption is important for almost everyone. End-to-end encryption will not allow a router or switch that carries your traffic to leak useful information.

If Adobe Reader gets hacked, a backdoor is installed, and information on what you are reading is emailed off, there is not a lot you can do. A firewall that controls access by program to outbound network resources can help. But, most likely it is possible to script your email program, so probably not. Use the simplest programs possible. Good old text works. You do not need PDF for everything.
